Boycotting the Winter Olympics in Russia is a return to the Cold War
Latvian President Andris Berzins on December 17 defended his plan to attend the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi and accused those calling for a boycott of the event of having a "Cold War" mentality.
Speaking on Latvian radio, Mr. Berzins stated: "People... forget the long-standing Olympic principle that even wars must be postponed (during the Olympics). We are returning to the Stone Age, or at best, the Cold War."
