Houthi ballistic missile exploded by Saudi strike

A source from the Saudi Arabian missile defense force said that the new attack by the Houthi forces took place on April 27, targeting a target in the city of Jizan in southern Saudi Arabia, just over 100km from the border with Yemen.

However, the attack was detected and intercepted by Saudi Arabia's defense forces in time. Along with the above information, the pro-Saudi Arabian forces also released a video showing that at least one Patriot missile was launched from Khamis Mushait to intercept the Houthi ballistic missile.

Other local sources confirmed that the missile successfully intercepted the target. This is the third time since the beginning of 2018 that Saudi Arabia's defense forces have successfully used the Patriot PAC 3 system to intercept a Houthi ballistic missile attack.

Although it has successfully intercepted Houthi missile attacks three times in the past half year, this achievement is nothing compared to the failed interceptions and the country's air defense system's failure to react in time or miss.

According to information posted by Al-Masdar, at the end of January 2018, Houthi forces used ballistic missiles to fire directly at the capital Riyadh of Saudi Arabia and the missile reached its target without the intervention of the PAC-3 Patriot missile defense system.

It is known that this is the latest scandal related to the advanced PAC-3 air defense missile system produced by the US in actual combat. It is known that in November 2017, Saudi Arabia's defense launched up to 4 PAC-3 missiles but still could not stop the Burkan-1 missile of Houthi in Yemen from attacking Riyadh.

The Yemeni Civil War that began in 2015 is still ongoing today. During this war, Saudi Arabia's defense system, with the core of the Patriot PAC 3, has repeatedly been helpless against the Houthi forces' ballistic missile attacks launched from Yemen.
