Tattooed thief found with a stash of women's underwear

On the afternoon of October 16, Lieutenant Colonel Do Xuan Kieu, Police Team 113 (Khanh Hoa Provincial Police) - said that he had just handed over Mai Cao Vinh (33 years old, local) to Nha Trang City Police to investigate and handle the act of property theft.

According to initial investigation, Mr. Ta Thong (49 years old, residing in Vinh Hai ward, Nha Trang city) had his truck battery stolen many times, so he assigned someone to stay overnight to watch over his property.

In the early morning of October 16, the caretaker discovered someone using pliers to cut the protective frame to steal the battery, so he called him and the police at 113. When Mr. Thong arrived at the scene, he found three men standing next to the truck. Seeing the commotion, they got on two motorbikes and fled.

Being chased, a man with a sharp knife attacked Mr. Thong. The 49-year-old man bravely fought back, causing the man to abandon his motorbike and run away. He was later hunted down and arrested by the 113 police and local people. The thief gave his name as Mai Cao Vinh.

According to Lieutenant Colonel Kieu, in addition to the stolen property, the authorities recorded that Vinh was carrying many women's underwear.

Vinh had a previous conviction for Intentional Infliction of Injury and was released from prison in 2009. He is a heavy drug addict. Police are searching for the other two suspects.
