Tet comes, Spring comes to the sickbed
(Baonghean.vn) - During the New Year's Eve, thousands of patients at the province's medical facilities had to stay to receive continuous care from doctors and nurses. Patients had to accept sacrificing a Tet holiday with their families in order to have a long-lasting spring of reunion and togetherness.
At Nghe An Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital on the morning of the first day of Tet, Spring has come in the love and complete joy of the family of 2 pregnant women NTD (22 years old, Nghi Loc district) and LTMN (29 years old, Vinh city). Not many people know that, just a few hours before, mother and child 2obstetricswent through life and death moments.
On the night of the 30th of Tet, the pregnant woman NTD, who was 36 weeks pregnant, was admitted to the hospital with heavy vaginal bleeding and amniotic fluid, no abdominal pain, pale skin, and pale mucous membranes. The doctors quickly held an emergency consultation and concluded that the pregnant woman had acute fetal distress and premature placental abruption, requiring emergency surgery to save the fetus and mother. With the utmost effort and good coordination of the on-call team..., after a few minutes, the surgery was successful, and the baby girl was born weighing 2.5 kg. The young pregnant woman was saved by the doctors' efforts to preserve her uterus for the next birth.

Right after the mother NT D had a safe delivery, the hospital team performed a cesarean section for the mother Le TMN. Fortunately, the mother N arrived at the hospital in time when, through ultrasound, the doctor discovered that the umbilical cord was knotted, along with 2 loops wrapped around the mother's neck in the uterus. The tight knot combined with the rotation of the fetus obstructed the blood supply to the fetus, causing danger if not treated promptly. The team performed a cesarean section at week 38 to ensure the safety of the baby... Before the New Year's Eve, the newborn cried loudly at birth to the joy of the doctors and nurses.
Thanks to the doctors, 2 mothers "turned bad luck into good luck". From 8am on the 30th of Tet to 8am on the first day of Tet, the hospital welcomed 17 babies. Sharing joy with the families of the mothers and visiting and giving lucky money to the patients on the first day of the new year, Doctor CKII. Dinh Xuan Huong - Deputy Director of Nghe An Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital confided: "On the first day of the new year, for the doctors and nurses of the hospital, doing something meaningful and spreading love is the happiest thing! This year's Tet, in the context of epidemic riskCOVID-19Intrusion, hospitals in Nghe An do not organize cultural and artistic programs to welcome the New Year. But that does not mean that patients are lonely. In addition to the care and attention of their families and doctors, patients are also welcomed by many delegations from the province, many volunteer organizations, and kind-hearted individuals who come to visit, give gifts, and give free meals. Those noble gestures seem to have contributed to bringing the warm atmosphere of Spring to patients and their families. Mr. Tran Van Hoang (whose mother is being treated at the Provincial General Hospital), was moved to receive the gift from the province from Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Bui Dinh Long: "Thank you very much for the attention of the province, the hospital, and everyone. The family is very happy and feels warm."
