In a televised address to the nation, Thai Army Commander General Prayuth Chan-ocha stressed that the reconciliation process between political factions and reform work will take about a year and then a general election will be held.

“The military government has set a time frame of one year and three months to conduct the elections,” Mr Prayuth said.
Mr. Prayuth declared that all sides must cooperate and end protests for this plan to succeed, adding that “too much time has been wasted on conflict”./.
