On March 15, Dr. Dinh Van Sinh, head of the obstetrics department of Nghe An General Hospital, said that on March 10, the newborn baby boy weighing 3.2 kg, the child of mother Nguyen Thi Thuong (born in 1988, residing in Nghi Van commune, Nghi Loc district), was discharged from the hospital in stable health condition.

Regarding the mother Nguyen Thi Thuong, she is currently continuing to receive treatment at Viet Duc Hospital in Hanoi and has undergone one surgery, her health is also gradually improving. Her family said that Ms. Thuong is now able to call home to hear her son crying through the speakerphone.
As previously reported, on the afternoon of March 3, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuong (born in 1988) was 8 months pregnant and was riding a motorbike from Bac Vinh Industrial Park back home in Nghi Van Commune, Nghi Loc District. When the motorbike reached Nghi Van Commune, it collided with a 4-seat car, Ms. Thuong fell onto the road and was injured. The victim was taken to Nghe An General Hospital for emergency treatment in a state of broken pelvis, her life was in danger. After consultation, the doctor performed a surgery to save the mother and fetus.
According to Dr. Sinh, because the baby's mother is in the hospital, the doctor also gave instructions on how to care for the baby so that the family can take the best care of the baby.
