(Baonghean.vn) - On the occasion of the 72nd anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day, units and localities organized visits and presented gifts to families of policy beneficiaries, expressing gratitude to heroic martyrs, war invalids, sick soldiers, and families with meritorious services to the revolution in the province.

The delegation visited and presented gifts to 15 Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, families of martyrs, war invalids and sick soldiers in Anh Son district. The Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics expressed his deep gratitude for the great sacrifices and contributions of Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, martyrs, Armed Forces Heroes, war invalids and sick soldiers, and families with meritorious services to the independence and freedom of the nation.

On this occasion, the delegation also presented gifts to the Management Board of the Vietnam-Laos International Martyrs' Cemetery, with the hope that the staff will continue to promote the nation's tradition of "When drinking water, remember its source", take good care of the martyrs' graves as well as serve and guide the martyrs' families and people nationwide to burn incense and commemorate.

At 4 families of martyrs, on behalf of the officials and farmers' association members of the province, the delegation kindly visited and presented gifts from the provincial Farmers' Association to the families.

On this occasion, the Provincial Farmers' Association also directed and guided all levels of the Association in the area to mobilize members to repair and decorate the martyrs' memorial grounds, and contribute many meaningful gifts to families of war invalids and martyrs.

The delegation visited and presented gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mother Tran Thi Trang; Mrs. Bui Thi Than, wife of a martyr in Hong Truong hamlet, Nghia Hong commune and families of wounded soldiers in Nghia Yen commune, each family received a gift worth 1.5 million VND.

In 6 communes, the delegation kindly encouraged and visited families with meritorious services and presented 14 gifts, each worth 600,000 VND, to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, mothers of martyrs, wounded and sick soldiers.

Liaison Committee of War Veterans Division 356 and Nghe An Gold Associationvisited, encouraged and gave gifts to Mrs. Nguyen Thi Huyen, currently residing in Hamlet 6A - Hung Dao, mother of martyr Le Xuan Thang, who died in 1987 at the front of Vy Xuyen - Ha Giang.

Presented a gift of 50 million VND to Ms. Nguyen Thi Huyen - mother of martyr Le Xuan Thang.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Huyen is in difficult circumstances, old, and often sick. On this occasion, the Liaison Committee of War Veterans of Division 356 and Nghe An Golf Association presented a gift worth 50 million VND to express deep gratitude to her family.

At the same time, they kindly asked about the health of the wounded soldiers and hoped that they would take care of their health, live optimistically, and be a shining example for future generations to follow.

The delegation visited and presented gifts to two Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, Lo Thi Cau (Tien Ky Commune) and Nguyen Thi Phi (Nghia Dung), each gift worth 300,000 VND. On this occasion, the District Military Command also visited and presented gifts to two relatives of martyrs and 18 wounded soldiers who are relatives of officers and soldiers in the unit, with a total gift value of more than 5 million VND.

Three gifts worth 3 million VND were presented by the People's Procuracy of Tan Ky district to the mother of martyr Nguyen Thi Na, two 2/3 disabled soldiers, Mr. Luong Van Cuong and Mr. Trinh Xuan Than. These are cases of serious illness, especially difficult in the commune.
