Currently, comrade Dat and his teammates are performing law enforcement duties on Coast Guard ship 4032 in the Hoang Sa waters, where China illegally placed the Haiyang 981 drilling rig. Comrade Dat's family situation is extremely difficult, his wife has kidney failure and has just had a kidney transplant, his children are still young and are living in a rented house in Da Nang. In addition, Mrs. Chung's family also has 2 sons-in-law who are also Coast Guard officers performing law enforcement duties in the Hoang Sa waters.
After visiting and encouraging the family, the provincial National Assembly delegation presented gifts and cash worth 6 million VND, the district leadership delegation presented 2 million VND and the Dien Chau District Red Cross Society presented 1 million VND to the family.
