Reviewing reports and draft resolutions submitted to the 11th session - Provincial People's Council

(Baonghean.vn) - In preparation for the 11th session of the Provincial People's Council, scheduled to take place from July 14 to 16, on the afternoon of July 2, under the chairmanship of Comrade Nguyen Xuan Son - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council conducted an examination of the report on the implementation of the 6-month socio-economic development plan; resolution on tasks and solutions for the last 6 months of 2014. Attending the examination were representatives of a number of provincial departments, branches and sectors.

At the conference, the report and draft resolution on the socio-economic situation in the last 6 months of the year presented by the representative of the Department of Planning and Investment received high approval from the delegates. However, according to some delegates, the report needs to assess more clearly the development targets of industrial plants such as tea, rubber, coffee; the situation of tax arrears, social insurance, health insurance; basic construction debt... On that basis, it is necessary to propose the right solutions for the last 6 months of the year to achieve the targets of the Resolution of the 17th Provincial Party Congress. Regarding the field of agricultural production, it is necessary to mention more livestock farming, in which it is necessary to analyze the reasons why livestock farming has decreased in terms of total herd and livestock products, in order to propose strong stimulus policies to develop the livestock industry. Pay attention to assessing the situation of business operations and development, attracting investment.

Regarding the socio-cultural field, delegates suggested that it is necessary to evaluate the implementation and effectiveness of the planning of the network of preschools and general schools in the province in the past time; universal preschool education for 5-year-old children; the difficulty in attracting medical human resources, especially doctors; the debt of social insurance and health insurance contributions; child trafficking, sexual abuse, drowning, are issues that need attention.... Delegates also added some main targets, tasks and solutions for socio-economic development in the last 6 months of 2014, striving to complete the targets for the whole year, the pivotal year for implementing the Resolution of the 17th Provincial Party Congress.

Also at the inspection, the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council gave opinions on the submission and draft resolution on adjusting and supplementing the master plan for socio-economic development of Nghe An province until 2020; the submission on the proposal to dismiss the Provincial People's Jury.
