Barca prodigy dreams of reuniting for destructive duet with Musiala

Lamine Yamal is on track to become one of the world's top stars since making his first-team debut in August 2023.

At the age of 17, he quickly established himself as an indispensable player for both his club and the Spanish national team.

Last season, Yamal contributed significantly to Barcelona's runner-up position in La Liga. He continued to prove his worth by inspiring Spain on their journey to winning EURO 2024.

So far this season, Yamal has bagged five goals and 10 assists in 21 La Liga appearances, proving his growing influence in the style of play that coach Hansi Flick is building.

In a conversation with Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo, Yamal revealed the three players outside Barcelona he admires the most: Jamal Musiala, Neymar and Savinho.

When asked which of these three names he wants Barca to recruit the most, Yamal did not hesitate: "People probably want me to say Neymar... but no. I choose Musiala!"

However, this prospect seems unlikely as Musiala has just signed a long-term contract extension with Bayern Munich, tying him to stay until 2030. The German midfielder is also an irreplaceable pillar of the "Gray Tigers" with 58 goals in 195 matches, contributing to a huge collection of titles including 4 Bundesliga championships, UEFA Super Cup, FIFA Club World Cup and 3 German Super Cups.
