Winning 7-3, Thai Son Nam won bronze medal at Asian futsal tournament

Vietnam's futsal representative defeated NAFT Al Wasat in the third place match of the AFC Futsal Club Championship 2015.

Nguyen Minh Tri and Tran Van Vu each scored a double, along with goals from Tran Long Vu, Le Quoc Nam and an own goal from Mohammad Naser Safari, bringing a resounding victory for Thai Son Nam. The Iraqi team's equalizers were scored by Waleed Khaled, Ali Abdulelah and Naser Safari.

In their third participation in the Asian Championship, this is Thai Son Nam's best result.

The dominance represented by Vietnam was demonstrated by Long Vu's opening goal in the fifth second. He stole the ball from midfield and then finished with a tricky shot that defeated goalkeeper Mohammed Noor.

The balance was restored by Safari for NAFT in the seventh minute, but just five minutes later Minh Tri put Thai Son Nam ahead again. Safari then scored again, only this time the ball went into his own net after an unfortunate situation where the ball hit his head. 3-1 for Thai Son Nam. Before the end of the first half, the gap could have increased if Duong Anh Tung's shot had not missed the post by a hair's breadth.

However, coach Bruno's team did not have to wait too long for that. Three minutes after the second half started, Minh Tri scored from the left wing.

NAFT responded with Khaled's goal almost immediately after, and the gap was even just one goal after Abdulelah's tap-in in the 26th minute.

However, that was all the Iraqi team could do. Van Vu increased the score to 5-3 one minute before Berzad Fereidoon was sent off in the 30th minute for a second yellow card. With the advantage of having more players, Thai Son Nam dominated and increased the gap to 6-3 thanks to Bao Quan.

NAFT then used power play tactics (playing five players without a goalkeeper), but not only did they not score any more goals, they also conceded a seventh goal from Van Vu in the final seconds.
