Winning at PVF, SLNA increases its record of winning the National U13 Championship

After defeating a very strong opponent, U13 Hai Duong, in the semi-final, U13 SLNA faced PVF, the best training academy of Vietnamese football today, in the final match of the National Youth Football Tournament.

Nghe An fans in the North came to PVF Center to cheer for coach Hoang Dang Hong and his team.

The core of the U13 SLNA team that won the championship this year is the U11 SLNA team led by coach Nguyen Huy Hoang in 2016 and the defending champion of the 2017 National Children's Football Championship led by coach Phan Nhu Thuat. Among them, faces like Le Nguyen Hoang and Truong Van Tuyen are very outstanding players.

In addition to the championship, U13 SLNA also won the Best Goalkeeper award for player Manh Tuan.

The rain at PVF Stadium did not make the final less intense and dramatic because of the strength of the two famous training centers. And it was striker Truong Van Tuyen who took advantage of the mistake of PVF's defense, finishing the ball into the roof of the net to open the score in the 24th minute.

After the break, both U13 SLNA and U13 PVF showed their determination with their aggressive play and were not afraid of collisions. Many fierce situations of the players of both teams were carded by the referee.

While U13 SLNA was still tirelessly attacking, looking for more goals, the defense suddenly had to accept a goal from captain Nguyen Gia Bao of PVF in the 39th minute. The U13 SLNA defender slipped on the wet field and could not keep up with the opponent's striker.

Truong Van Tuyen scored the decisive goal, raising the score to 2-1 for U13 SLNA.

However, the spirit of the team that just won the championship at the U11 tournament last year has spoken. From a fixed free kick situation, the young players of SLNA coordinated to create a wall, creating conditions for Truong Van Tuyen to once again break through the PVF goalkeeper's net, raising the score to 2-1 with only 7 minutes left in the match.

For the rest of the match, U13 SLNA still played resiliently and maintained the result. In the end, U13 SLNA defeated U13 PVF and convincingly won the championship of the tournament. This is the 6th championship of the Nghe An team and continues to increase the record that SLNA is holding.

The moment U13 SLNA lifted the Championship Cup for the 6th time in this youth tournament.

Previously, U13 SLNA won the championship in 1997; 1998; 2003; 2013 and 2014.

Thus, up to now, SLNA has had 1 bronze medal of U19, 1 runner-up title of U17 team and 1 championship of U13 SLNA team led by coach Hoang Dang Hong.

At the end of the first leg of the qualifying round of Group B of the National U15 Championship, the U15 SLNA team topped Group B with 12 points, scored 8 goals and did not concede any. The return matches will take place from July 16 at Quang Xuong Stadium, Thanh Hoa.
