Winning the penalty shootout, U.19 HAGL entered the final match of the U21 International.
Playing aggressively but unable to penetrate the net of U21 Vietnam, U19 HA.GL had to decide the winner/loser by taking a penalty shootout in the semi-final match of the Thanh Nien Newspaper International U21 Tournament held on the afternoon of October 25 in Can Tho City. With Manh Hung and Phi Son failing to score, U21 Vietnam had to watch U19 HA.GL enter the final.

Despite being the senior team, U21 Vietnam chose a defensive counter-attacking style against U19 HAGL. In the first half and most of the match, U19 HAGL was the better team and dominated the field.

However, the final shots of coach Graechen's students did not have the necessary sharpness to score a goal.
As for U21 Vietnam, they proactively played solidly on their home field, even choosing a tough style of play, committing fouls when necessary to prevent the attacks of the junior U19 HAGL players.

After 90 minutes of play, the two teams had to enter a penalty shootout to determine which team would advance to the final.
In the nerve-wracking penalty shootout, U19 HAGL proved to be the more courageous team and won 4-3 to advance to the final.
