May 14, 2012 06:46

Trailing throughout the 90 minutes, Dzeko and Aguero's brilliance in the final minutes helped Man City beat QPR 3-2 in a thrilling match at Etiah. Man City officially became the new King of the Premier League.

Hosting relegation-threatened QPR at home, Man City dominated the game and took a 1-0 lead at the end of the first half through Zabaleta. The visitors surprisingly equalised through Cisse and, despite Barton being sent off, they still took a 2-1 lead through Mackie's header.

Man City had moments of stalemate and despair, when QPR played defensively, and Aguero and Tevez repeatedly missed regrettable opportunities. But when the match was coming to the end, Man City rose up with a powerful header from Dzeko to equalize 2-2.

And in the fateful last minute, Aguero fired a beautiful shot past Kenny, sealing a 3-2 victory and helping Man City win the championship. Man City were level on points with MU (89 points) but had a better goal difference and this was a well-deserved title for coach Mancini and his team. QPR played with great resilience and their reward was a ticket to stay in the league, as Bolton drew 2-2 with Stoke.

Man City deservedly won the Premier League after 44 years of waiting and this is the happy ending of this year's Premier League. Coach Mancini and his team played impressively throughout the season, they defeated MU in both matches and were the team with the most beautiful attacking style of play in the Premier League this year.

Coach Manicni did not make any changes to the starting lineup, Yaya Toure and Barry were stationed in the midfield, David Silva and Samir Nasri were active on the wings supporting the striker pair Aguero-Tevez who played quite freely. QPR actively chose a defensive style of play and waited for a breakthrough from the striker pair Zamora-Cisse.

Man City proactively pushed their squad up to attack and the opportunity came to them in the 7th minute, when Aguero tried to save the ball and then passed it to Yaya Toure to shoot the ball over the crossbar. QPR proactively played defense and gave the entire midfield to their opponents.

David Silva played quite energetically and in the 17th minute, the Spanish star skillfully turned the ball and quickly shot, but Kenny caught it. QPR proved quite dangerous in counter-attacks and Cisse took a dangerous low free-kick, fortunately Joe Hart was alert.

Man City pushed their formation quite high, however, QPR's defense played quite focused in the first 30 minutes. But the visitors could only hold out until the 41st minute, when Yaya Toure passed the ball to Zabaleta, who ran down and finished, the ball hit Kenny's hand and flew into the net. 1-0 and Man City relieved a lot of pressure.

Before the end of the first half, Man City suffered a big loss when Yaya Toure left the field due to injury, making way for De Jong. In the second half, Aguero and Samir Nasri both had dangerous shots, but were unable to defeat Kenny.

It was a defensive mistake that cost Man City in the 48th minute, when Lescott's header left Cisse in a good position and the striker ran down Joe Hart, bringing the match back to a surprising 1-1 draw.

Mancini's team was forced to push forward and in the 49th minute, Samir Nasri crossed the ball inside, the ball hit the QPR defender's leg and went dangerously. Immediately after, Zabaleta shot hard from outside the box and Aguero kicked the ball back but it went over the crossbar.

The highlight of the match came in the 55th minute, when Joe Barton was sent off for a foul on Carlos Tevez. The English midfielder then viciously kicked Aguero. With one less player, QPR were forced to play defensively to preserve the draw.

In the 56th minute, Tevez's free kick hit the wall and bounced out. Nasri shot the rebound but Kenny reacted promptly. Carlos Tevez and Aguero continuously fired shots right after that but they both lacked the luck to score.

Man City staged a dramatic comeback to win 3-2 at the Etihad

After a relentless attack, Man City paid the price in the 66th minute when Traore dribbled past Kompany and crossed for Mackie to head the ball past Joe Hart, helping QPR lead 2-1. The fans at the Etihad Stadium were completely silent after this quick attack.

Coach Mancini's team continued to push up the formation and in the 70th minute, Zabaleta had a chance to quickly shoot in the penalty area, unfortunately the ball hit Ferdinand and went out. With nothing left to lose, Coach Mancini sent Balotelli onto the field to replace Tevez to strengthen the attack.

Man City almost equalized in the 78th minute, when Aguero tried to cross the ball for Dzeko to quickly connect, but Kenny used his foot to save the goal for QPR. The home team was not really lucky when Balotelli headed the ball quite hard from close range, but Kenny made an excellent save for QPR.

Coach Mancini's boundless happiness

However, 1 minute later, Dzeko headed the ball accurately past Kenny, making the score 2-2 quite dramatic. And right in the last minute of injury time, Balotelli tried to pass the ball to Aguero who escaped and then unleashed a powerful shot to defeat Kenny, sealing a thrilling and emotional 3-2 victory for Man "Blue" at Etihad.
