The three Lieutenant Generals promoted to Senior Lieutenant General include: Mr. Vo Van Tuan - Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army; Mr. Vo Trong Viet - Deputy Minister of National Defense and Mr. Be Xuan Truong - Deputy Minister of National Defense. The above decision was signed by the President on December 10.

Before becoming Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army in 2011, Senior Lieutenant General Vo Van Tuan was a fighter pilot of the Air Defense - Air Force. Mr. Tuan held many important positions at the 937th Air Force Regiment, the 370th Air Force Division and the Air Defense - Air Force.

Senior Lieutenant General Vo Trong Viet is currently a member of the 11th Party Central Committee. He has been in the army since 1975 and has worked in border defense since 1980 in the Central Highlands and Ha Tinh. Since 2005, he has been Political Commissar and then Commander of the Border Guard Command. In October 2015, he was appointed Deputy Minister of National Defense.

Senior Lieutenant General Be Xuan Truong is currently a member of the 11th Party Central Committee and a member of the 12th and 13th National Assembly. Previously, Mr. Truong was Commander of Military Region 1. In 2014, he was appointed Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army. In October 2015, he was appointed Deputy Minister of National Defense.
