Thanh Chuong: Honoring 70 excellent production and business households

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of July 16, Thanh Chuong district held a conference on good production, business and animal husbandry. Attending were 70 delegates honored from the grassroots.

Of which: 40 delegates are good at production and business, 30 delegates are good at animal husbandry. Up to now, the whole district has 2,520 households achieving the title of good production and business at all levels: 1,949 households at the grassroots level, 407 households at the district level, 125 households at the provincial level, 39 households at the central level, achieving 100% of the assigned plan.

The whole district has nearly 36,000 households raising livestock, each household raising an average of 2.03 buffaloes and cows. There are 30 buffalo and cow farms with a scale of 10 or more; in terms of commodity production value, as of June 2014, the total output of fresh buffalo and cow meat sold in the district was 1,633 tons, the added production value at actual prices was 61.2 billion VND, accounting for 23.6% of the total income of the livestock industry; compared to 2010, it increased by 2.27%. The proportion of income from livestock within the agricultural sector accounted for 43.35%.
