Thanh Chuong: Many activities to celebrate the founding day of the Vietnam Women's Union

(Baonghean.vn) - To celebrate the 82nd Anniversary of the Vietnam Women's Union (October 20, 1930 - October 20, 2012), localities, units and organizations of Thanh Chuong district have had many activities towards this holiday.

On October 17 and 18, the Department of Culture and Information coordinated with the District Women's Union to organize a Women's Volleyball Tournament. The Organizing Committee awarded the First Prize to the Town Team, the Second Prize to the Youth Volunteer Team 2, and the Third Prize to the Cat Van and Thanh Duc teams, and 4 Encouragement Prizes to the teams: Thanh Tien, Thanh Nho, Thanh My and Phong Thinh.

On the evening of October 18, in Thanh Son, the communes of Thanh Son, Ngoc Lam, Thanh My, Hanh Lam and Thanh Duc organized an art exchange program. There were 22 dances, skits, and songs praising the Party, Uncle Ho, the homeland, the country, Vietnamese women, and communication on the prevention of social evils and population and family planning work. The exchange program left a good impression on the people attending.

On the morning of October 19, the District Women's Union held an intimate discussion with the incumbent and retired leaders of the District Party Committee, People's Council, and People's Committee. The discussion took place in a warm and friendly atmosphere. Promoting the tradition of Vietnamese Women, the Thanh Chuong District Women's Union will have many innovations in its activities, focusing on the grassroots, and encouraging members to effectively implement the movements set forth by the Union.
