Thanh Chuong: Many models thanks to thematic resolutions

That spirit has been and is being fanned by cadres, party members and people in this revolutionary homeland with practical actions for the goal of a rich people, a strong district, and building a prosperous life.

Implementing the Resolution of the 29th Thanh Chuong District Party Congress, term 2010 - 2015, which requires focusing on quickly applying scientific and technological advances to increase productivity, ensure stable annual food output, associated with promoting commodity production, and increasing people's income. Since the beginning of the term, the District Party Committee has directed the District People's Committee to develop and implement a number of resolutions and projects, such as: shifting crop structure, increasing income value per unit area; developing farm economy, exploiting the economy of mountainous, hilly, and forest areas...

In Thanh Linh commune, implementing the Resolution of the District Party Congress, the Commune Party Committee issued a resolution on converting crop structure including on rice land and colored land. Previously, the commune's 100 hectares of colored land only grew corn, peanuts, and green beans, but now 2/3 of the area has been structured to grow crops with commodity value such as squash, pumpkin, cucumber, and flowers. Therefore, income per unit area has increased, even some areas have generated income of 250 - 300 million VND/ha/year compared to the average of only 30 - 40 million VND/ha before the conversion. Mr. Nguyen Van Dan, Hong village, Thanh Linh commune shared: "Previously, on an area of ​​3 sao, the family could only grow 2 crops of corn and green beans.

But now, switching to growing vegetables, the family rotates 3 crops of cucumbers, squash... so the income has increased. Family life is more prosperous". Currently, the average income value per unit area in Thanh Linh has reached over 70 million VND/ha/year (the target set by the 29th District Party Congress is 50 million VND/ha/year). In many communes such as Ngoc Son, Dong Van, Thanh Giang, Thanh Lien, Thanh Tien..., commercial vegetable production areas are also being formed, including: kohlrabi, cabbage, cucumber, green beans, chili for export... Thanks to the shift in crop structure, Thanh Chuong's land is "green all year round", contributing to increasing the income value per production unit in Thanh Chuong to 65 million VND/ha/year (exceeding 129% of the target set by the 29th Party Congress).

In addition, to ensure food, the Party Committee and the government from the district to the commune always pay attention to directing production to ensure the correct variety structure and crop calendar in each production season to ensure food sources. Therefore, if in 1995, the whole district struggled to achieve 52,000 tons of food equivalent to paddy (including sweet potatoes), then in recent years, the food output (only counting rice and corn) has been stable at 100,000 - 107,000 tons/year (achieving the target set by the 29th District Party Congress). In particular, the district is gradually focusing on bringing high-quality varieties into production on thousands of hectares, improving economic efficiency on the same unit area such as red rice, NA2, Thinh Du 1, Sin6, PC6, Viet Lai 20 and some other glutinous rice varieties. Typically, Thanh Phong commune has built a number of model fields through the production of two valuable rice varieties, red rice and NA2, with nearly 120 hectares....

On the other hand, the Party committees and authorities in Thanh Chuong have also promoted the exploitation of the potential of forest and mountainous land to expand the area of ​​​​forest planting for paper materials, tea, cassava, and build comprehensive farms. Comrade Nguyen Trong Toan - Secretary of the Thanh Luong Commune Party Committee, shared: "The commune has 13 hamlets, of which 7 hamlets are in semi-mountainous areas with difficult production conditions. In recent years, in addition to the sensitivity, quick approach and dynamism in developing many types of industries and services such as civil carpentry, forging, hammering, welding, sawing, milling, and animal feed processing of people in the outer areas, people in the mountainous hamlets have also risen up, turning disadvantages into their advantages through the development of comprehensive farms of hill gardens growing commercial tea, forestry trees, combined with raising goats, cows, and chickens on the hills, bringing high income to the people.

Among them, there are models that earn hundreds of millions of dong each year, such as the families of Mr. Nguyen Van Trung, Nguyen Trong Chat, Nguyen Trong Huynh... It can be said that not only Thanh Luong commune but also communes in hilly, mountainous and forest areas such as Thanh Duc, Thanh Thuy, Thanh An, Thanh Phong, Hanh Lam, Thanh Mai... have also built hundreds of models for high income, of which nearly 200 models meet the criteria of comprehensive farms, forestry farms, livestock farms, and fruit farms. Accordingly, in Thanh Chuong, quite large production areas have been formed with more than 10,000 hectares of raw material forests; more than 3,200 hectares of tea, 2,500 hectares of industrial cassava; nearly 90,000 buffaloes and cows; more than 110,000 pigs; and goats and chickens raised on the hills have also developed quite quickly...

Economic development creates conditions for the new rural construction movement to take place vigorously in each commune and residential area, the rural appearance of Thanh Chuong is increasingly prosperous. Economic development, people's lives are also increasingly improved, the average income reaches over 18 million VND/person/year (an increase of nearly 4 million VND/person/year compared to the beginning of the term); the poverty rate of the whole district has decreased to 15%. "Thanh Chuong is not rich now, but it has surpassed itself, breaking the four blocks in thinking and action, that is an extremely great success" - Standing Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee Dang Anh Dung shared. Obviously, what Thanh Chuong has is much better than yesterday, but it is still not satisfactory and satisfying, because the district is still poor. Therefore, on the basis of enhancing the leadership role and fighting strength of grassroots party organizations and party members; To promote democracy, solidarity and high consensus among the people, Thanh Chuong needs to continue focusing on promoting its potential to build a truly rich and powerful revolutionary tradition in the period of innovation.
