Thanh Chuong: Developing local specialty seedlings

On October 17 and 18, the working delegation of the Steering Committee of the campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods" in Nghe An province inspected the implementation of the campaign in Thanh Chuong district. Before working with the district-level Steering Committee, the delegation directly inspected the production and business situation at a number of markets, shopping centers, and production facilities and listened to the opinions, thoughts and aspirations of both buyers and sellers.

Through practical results and working with grassroots Party committees and district-level Steering Committees, the working delegation assessed that the campaign had been implemented quite synchronously and effectively, from the establishment of the Steering Committee to propaganda and implementation.

In recent years, Thanh Chuong district has gradually introduced domestically produced seeds, fertilizers and materials into production; promoted and had policies to develop local specialty plants and animals such as tea, oranges, canarium, jackfruit, chickens, etc.

The district also regularly inspects and handles counterfeit, fake and poor quality goods at markets and business locations; supports businesses participating in fairs selling Vietnamese goods.

However, the campaign's implementation is still irregular, formal, and has not really penetrated people's awareness. Some local authorities have not really considered this as one of the key tasks.

The provincial working delegation requested Thanh Chuong district to further deploy the tasks of the campaign, considering this as a competition criterion for classification, ensuring the campaign achieves more and better results.
