Thanh Chuong: Giving gifts to disabled and orphaned students

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of April 18, the Association for the Protection of People with Disabilities and Orphans of Thanh Chuong District coordinated with the Department of Education and Training of the district to organize a gift giving ceremony for disabled students and orphans in the area.

Giving bicycles to disabled students and orphans at secondary school

Responding to the Action Month for People with Disabilities and Orphans (PWDs and Orphans) and commemorating Vietnam Disability Day on April 18, 2014, the PWDs and Orphans Support Association of Thanh Chuong District in collaboration with the Department of Education and Training organized a survey and presented gifts to students with disabilities and orphans. The Association selected 30 students with special circumstances to present gifts. Accordingly, there were 6 gifts for preschool students and 24 gifts for 24 primary school students, each worth 500,000 VND. Also on this occasion, the Association organized the donation of 10 bicycles (each worth 1,500,000 VND) to 10 secondary school students. This amount was taken from the Association's 2013 PWDs and Orphans Support Fund.
