Vinh City Youth Union summarizes the work of the Youth Union and youth movement in 2012
(Baonghean.vn) -This morning, November 26, the Vinh City Youth Union Standing Committee held a Conference to summarize the work of the Youth Union and youth movement in 2012.
Attending the conference were comrade Tran Viet Lap - Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the City Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission; Party Secretaries of Party agencies, the Vietnam Fatherland Front and mass organizations of the City; comrade Pham Ngoc Canh - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, party leaders of 25 ward and commune unions and more than 150 exemplary union officials.
Awarding certificates of merit to outstanding grassroots branches
Practically welcoming the National Youth Union Congress, Vinh City Youth Union has had many practical and effective activities: Activities of gratitude and volunteering for the community have promoted the pioneering role of young people; Organizing 112 sessions to study Resolution 4 of the Central Committee and thoroughly grasp Directive 03 of the Politburo on Studying and following the moral example of Ho Chi Minh with 27,950 young union members participating; Giving 420 gifts worth more than 50 million VND to policy families, poor households, and poor children overcoming difficulties on the occasion of Lunar New Year. Youth Union bases have organized consultations for 1,935 young union members to borrow capital to create jobs, study, and export with 1,004 borrowers participating with nearly 1.4 billion VND. Activities to help children in difficult circumstances and with disabilities have been promoted by Youth Union - Association bases. There are 2,526 children who are regularly helped, each team has an activity to help friends in difficult circumstances in their team.
At the conference, the report clearly stated the program of the Youth Union and the Youth Union movement in 2013 with the theme "The city's youth take the lead in reforming administrative procedures and implementing a cultural urban lifestyle". The report was supplemented with many opinions by grassroots Youth Union officials to build a practical and effective program of activities in 2013.
Also at the conference, 64 grassroots youth unions and 15 young union members were awarded certificates of merit for their outstanding achievements in union work last year.
