Establishment of Nghia Dan Town, Nghia Dan District

(Baonghean.vn) - This morning, January 4, 2012, Nghia Dan district (Nghe An) organized the announcement of the establishment of Nghia Dan town.

Implementing Decree 164 ND/CP dated November 15, 2007 of the Government, Nghia Dan district was adjusted to separate the district town and 7 central communes to establish Thai Hoa town. Nghia Dan district has 24 remaining communes, the district center was moved to Nghia Binh commune with many difficulties in infrastructure and material.

After 4 years, Nghia Dan Town was established according to Resolution No. 96/NQ-CP dated October 11, 2011 of the Government on adjusting the administrative boundaries of Nghia Hoi, Nghia Binh, Nghia Trung communes of Nghia Dan district. According to the Resolution, the town has a natural area of ​​852.6 hectares with more than 5,000 people and was officially established and put into operation on January 1, 2012.

The Party Committee and the provisional People's Committee of Nghia Dan town introduced themselves to the local people and district government.

At the ceremony, the Organizing Committee announced and presented the Decision to establish the town to the Party Committee and the provisional People's Committee of Nghia Dan town.

The establishment of Nghia Dan town is an event marking a new step of development of Nghia Dan district in the process of construction and development after 4 years of separation.
