Detox your body after Tet
Detoxifying your body after Tet will help strengthen your immune system and restore your health after a busy period and difficult to control eating. Apply the following advice for 14 days to truly change both your body and mind.
1.Moisturize your body with water
Water is an essential part of the body's metabolism. In addition, drinking plenty of water after a binge will help your body balance the amount of salt it takes in.
When starting the process of cleansing the body, drink more water than usual to help the body "eliminate" the accumulated substances during the Tet holiday. In addition to drinking water, diligently eat more raw and boiled vegetables. The best way to know if you are drinking enough water or not is to check the color of your urine. Clear urine means you are taking in enough water.
2. Avoid sugar
Avoid sugar and artificial sweeteners completely during the cleanse. Say no to sugary drinks, sweets and you will find that natural fruit tastes much better.
Plus, temporarily abstaining from sweets will help you get used to saying no to sugar and will benefit your long-term health.
3. Avoid alcoholic beverages, including red wine.
Alcohol is not a healthy drink, although there have been studies on the effectiveness of alcohol if consumed in moderation (maximum 1 drink for women and 2 drinks for men per day) but because it is a diuretic, it will dehydrate you more. Therefore, it is best to completely eliminate it during the "cleansing" period after Tet.
4. Say no to processed and prepared foods
In short, stay away from canned, bagged, or bottled foods. Also, say no to eating out during this time.
Restaurant food may look healthy, but it's loaded with oils and sauces that you might not even notice unless you're watching it being prepared. Eliminating processed foods from your menu is the quickest and easiest way to cut out unseen sugars, fats, and calories.
5Sweating
Your skin is the largest organ of your body and sweating helps you get rid of excess salt and other waste products. Daily sweating is an effective way to help your body detoxify.
6.Eat fiber
Fiber is the most important component of the digestive system that needs to be supplemented after days of endless partying. Supplementing fiber helps your intestines to be lubricated and "exercised" after days of stagnation due to high-fat foods. Supplement fiber from natural sources such as fruits, vegetables and whole grains; absolutely do not eat fiber from processed foods if you do not want to have the opposite effect of cleansing the body.
Try to adjust your sleeping habits after a day of partying. Aim for 7-9 hours of sleep each night. Getting enough sleep helps your brain work more effectively. Recent studies have shown a direct correlation between getting enough sleep and efficiency.
8.Change the way you deal with stress
While it is impossible to eliminate stress completely, changing the way you think about the causes of stress can help you feel more relaxed. Practice the “stop and think” method, taking a deep breath before making a decision. Stress affects both your physical and mental health, so small habits like eating healthy, getting enough sleep, and exercising can help you gain more control over aspects of your life, thereby dealing with stress more effectively.
