Young people help people with post-flood farming

(Baonghean.vn) - On October 23, Thanh Duong commune delegation (Thanh Chuong) helped peopleplowing, sowing commercial corn fields that were washed away by floods.

The recent heavy rains and floods have damaged the entire corn field along the Lam River that Thanh Duong commune people had planted less than half a month earlier. To support people to continue planting in time for the season, Thanh Duong commune's Youth Union mobilized dozens of youth union members to help households plow, harrow, and plant corn fields.

With the spirit of "helping people as well as helping your own family", in the morning, the union members and youth helped 20 families complete the work of sowing corn.

Mrs. Nguyen Thi Son (74 years old, hamlet 12), said: “My family is poor, no one to work, so it took all day to sow and plant these 2 sao of corn. Now that you have come to help, it only takes a while. I am very excited, thank you very much.”

In addition to this activity, it is known that before that, the Union had called for and raised more than 30 million to rebuild the resting place of the young people who sacrificed in the Hiep Hoa event (Do Luong) and mobilized tens of millions of dong to help families in difficult circumstances in the commune.
