Youth foster special friendship and solidarity between Vietnam and Laos

Within the framework of the Vietnam - Laos Youth Friendship Exchange Program 2020, on the afternoon of October 13, in Nghi Thuy ward (Cua Lo town - Nghe An), the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union held a seminar on "Youth fostering special solidarity and friendship between Vietnam and Laos".

Attending the discussion were Comrade Outhai Bannavong - First Secretary, Head of the Overseas Students Department of the Lao Embassy in Vietnam, Head of the Lao Youth Delegation; representative of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union.

On the side of Nghe An province, there were representatives of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Committee; the Department of Foreign Affairs, and leaders of Nghe An Provincial Youth Union. The program had the participation of 60 youth delegates from Vietnam and Laos.

Speaking at the seminar, Deputy SecretaryNghe An Provincial Youth UnionChu Duc Thai affirmed: This is one of the activities contributing to educating the youth of the two countries about "The great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos".

Thereby, enhancing exchanges and mutual understanding between the youth of the two countries; affirming the love and belief of the young generations of the two countries in the revolutionary path chosen by their predecessors; demonstrating the determination, responsibility and promoting the pioneering role of the youth of the two countries in contributing to preserving, consolidating and further enhancing the great traditional friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos.

Vietnam and Laos are two neighboring countries, connected by mountains and rivers. The brotherly relationship between the two peoples has been formed and nurtured in the history of thousands of years of building and defending the country. The good traditional relationship and the loyal attachment between the people of Vietnam and Laos were founded by President Ho Chi Minh and President Kaysone Phomvihane, and have been diligently cultivated by successive generations of leaders of the two Parties, two States and people of the two countries.

Through many historical periods, the Vietnam - China relationshipLaoswas tempered and forged by the efforts and blood of countless heroic martyrs, by the sacrifices and struggles of many generations of Vietnamese and Lao people, and became a traditional, special, very loyal and pure relationship.

The great achievements and friendship between the two nations have urged generations of young people in the two countries to continuously study, practice, and contribute to the process of national construction and development, strengthening the Vietnam - Laos relationship to become closer, stronger and better.

At the seminar, delegates exchanged and discussed contents focusing on clarifying the greatness of the special Vietnam - Laos relationship in international relations; the role of the young generation in general, especially young diplomats and students of the two countries in particular, in promoting the special Vietnam - Laos relationship in the current new situation.

Delegates also discussed and proposed a number of specific and practical models in fostering the special friendship and solidarity between Vietnam and Laos in the context of the 4.0 scientific revolution that is strongly affecting all aspects of life today.
