Ho Chi Minh City cooperates to support Nghe An in developing startups and innovation businesses

At the conference to summarize the socio-economic development cooperation program between Ho Chi Minh City and some provinces in the North and North Central, a signing ceremony took place between Ho Chi Minh City and localities in the North and North Central. In particular, for bilateral cooperation between Ho Chi Minh City and Nghe An province, the focus will be on 4 contents:

1. Cooperate in investment promotion, introduce and call for investors and enterprises of Ho Chi Minh City to invest in Nghe An province, focusing on dynamic projects with spillover effects, effectively exploiting the potential and strengths of Nghe An, investing in industrial parks and economic zones.

2. Cooperate in promoting tourism, mobilize travel agencies to exploit tourism connection programs to the two localities, build tours combining relaxation with activities to return to the source and cultural heritage between the two localities.

3. Support the improvement of professional skills and the development of high-tech services in medical examination and treatment; receive a number of Nghe An medical facilities as satellite units of a number of large medical facilities in Ho Chi Minh City.

4. Cooperate to support the formation and development of startups and innovative businesses applying technology to exploit the strengths of the two localities; build a mechanism to connect universities, institutes, centers, and organize activities to support the development of the science and technology market.

In addition, in the period of 2023-2025, Ho Chi Minh City and a number of localities in the North and North Central regions agreed to coordinate, expand cooperation, and effectively carry out a number of key tasks according to the development scale of the Region. Specifically:

Exchange information and experience on planning, plans, policies and mechanisms, project portfolios calling for investment, and development cooperation in all fields. Coordinate the organization of cultural and artistic exchange activities and traditional festivals; research and organize seminars to develop traditional art tourism and folk art forms to promote, preserve and propagate the typical features and unique values ​​of each region's culture, and convey morals, sentiments and noble aspirations.

Increase support and exchange of experiences in managing sports activities and organizing friendly competitions to create conditions for athletes to accumulate experience and improve their professional qualifications.

Agricultural sector

Strengthening the exchange of experiences in developing high-tech agricultural production models, organic agriculture, value chain production models in the fields of cultivation, livestock farming, aquaculture, urban agricultural development, etc.

Cooperate in developing post-harvest processing technology, creating stable raw material production areas, developing agricultural product consumption channels; coordinate in providing information on production and business in the field of agricultural materials; list of products and raw material areas certified to meet VietGAP and GlobalGAP standards.

Ho Chi Minh City and some localities in the North and North Central regions regularly exchange and provide information on each province's policies for the industrial sector; Coordinate to upgrade the e-commerce trading floors of the provinces to enhance information, introduce mechanisms and policies of priority projects to attract investment, promote typical products on the trading floors of the localities. Promote connections, attract investors to build commercial infrastructure and other civilized and modern business forms.

Exchange and share information on market demand and product information; promote the consumption of One Commune One Product (OCOP) products, products that are the province's advantage in the distribution system in Ho Chi Minh City, forming a stable and long-term product consumption chain between localities.

Support and arrange booths of typical local products in Ho Chi Minh City and provinces, especially introducing typical regional and local products at tourist attractions.

Science and technology; information and communication; digital transformation

Cooperation in research and application of science and technology focuses on the following areas: application of advanced technology, support for innovative start-up businesses, development of integrated platforms, sharing of common data in all fields; support for digital transformation of businesses; application of high technology, biotechnology to serve industries, agricultural and medical fields...; conservation, exploitation and development of biological genetic resources to serve the development needs of localities, especially in the field of medicinal herbs; Application of information technology and geographic information systems (GIS) in the field of management; technology for processing agricultural, forestry and fishery products from local raw materials; Support for training and development of human resources in information technology; sharing of mutual experiences in building digital government, e-government, smart cities.

Education field,training and medical

Strengthening the exchange of experiences in planning for education and training development, training high-quality human resources; experience in developing educational models and managing non-public education; experience in building and developing National Universities and international universities.
