Vinh City will have parking lots and public toilets.

(Baonghean) -Vinh City People's Committee has just announced the planning of traffic intersections, overpasses, wharves, parking lots, bus stops, and public restrooms.

According to the planning approved by the Provincial People's Committee, in addition to 5 bus stations: Southern Bus Station, Nam Thanh Passenger Station, Northern Foreign Passenger Station, Vinh Market Bus Station, the old Vinh Bus Station in Cua Bac will be converted into an inner-city bus station. Vinh City will have 4 city-level truck parking lots, passenger and car parking lots in commercial and cultural centers, large parks, and train stations. For ward and commune levels, there are 19 planned parking lots. In particular, Doi Cung, Truong Thi, Hung Binh, Le Mao, and Quang Trung wards have no more land to arrange parking lots, and must use public services or parking lots in adjacent areas. For car stops, there will be painted lines to regulate stopping and parking on both sides of the road, including 15 routes, expanding the roadway to a part of the sidewalk, or painting lines to regulate stopping and parking areas on road sections in the area leading to 14 schools.

In addition, the city also plans 72 public toilets. To serve these projects, the city government has requested that wards and communes under Vinh City not arrange projects related to planned land areas (It is expected that in the first phase (by 2015), 3 overpasses and 4 city-level parking lots will be built). This is really good news for the city's residents, because with the rapid urbanization, combined with the increase in the mechanical population and the increasing number of tourists to the city as it is now, planning parking lots and public toilets is not only an urgent need of social life but also an indispensable criterion in the process of building Vinh into a modern and civilized city.
