Government Inspectorate recommends handling 245 individuals with violations
On October 10, in Hanoi, the Government Inspectorate held a press conference to announce the results of the inspection work in the third quarter of 2012.
Accordingly, the Government Inspectorate has issued two inspection conclusions and reported to the Prime Minister, including: inspection of law enforcement in land use planning, construction planning, land use management in Hanoi; implementation of the law on complaints, denunciations and anti-corruption in Ba Ria - Vung Tau province. The Government Inspectorate has completed 10 inspection conclusions, including two units in the banking sector: the Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development of Vietnam; and the Vietnam Development Bank. The Prime Minister has commented on four inspection conclusions, including: inspection of state management of the Ministry of Planning and Investment in implementing the Law on Bidding; inspection of investment management in construction of a number of projects in Ninh Binh province in the period 2001-2005; inspection of a number of afforestation and rubber plantation projects in Dak Lak province; inspecting the implementation of the economic-defense project in Ea Sup district, Dak Lak province of Army Corps 16, Ministry of National Defense.
Inspectors of ministries, branches and localities have conducted 3,721 inspections, completing 1,181 of them. Through inspections, violations of VND 304 billion 621 million and 1,319 hectares of land were discovered; recommendations were made to recover VND 245 billion 795 million and 1,319 hectares of land to the state budget (VND 58 billion 048 million and 11,140 m2 of land have been collected); recommendations were made to handle administrative violations against 122 groups and 245 individuals, and files were transferred to the investigation agency to continue clarifying four cases and 15 individuals.
In the third quarter, the Citizen Reception Office of the Central Party and State in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City received 4,946 citizens coming to make complaints, denunciations, petitions, reflections, and presented 1,247 cases; there were 147 large groups, a decrease of 26.4% in the number of visits, 17.1% in the number of cases, an increase of 25 large groups compared to the third quarter of 2012. Ministries, branches, and localities received 42,622 citizens, including 385 large groups, an increase of 32% in the number of visits compared to the third quarter of 2011.
