Provincial Inspectorate presented Quang Phong commune with 50 tons of cement.

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of May 14, the Nghe An Provincial Inspection Delegation visited and presented gifts to Quang Phong commune, Que Phong district.

Working with commune leaders and schools, the Provincial Inspection Delegation heard about the socio-economic development situation as well as the work to overcome the consequences of tornadoes that occurred in the area recently.

Nghe An Provincial Inspectorate presented Quang Phong commune with 50 tons of cement.

The tornado accompanied by heavy rain that swept through Quang Phong commune on May 4th caused nearly 500 million VND in damage. More than 30 houses had their roofs completely blown off, especially Quang Phong 2 Primary School which suffered the most damage in terms of facilities and teaching and learning equipment.

As a remote commune of Que Phong district, Quang Phong commune is currently facing many difficulties and challenges. The poverty rate is still quite high, transportation is difficult, and infrastructure is still lacking.

In recent times, Quang Phong commune has always received the attention and support of organizations, agencies and units in the province, especially the support of the Provincial Inspectorate. On this occasion, the Provincial Inspectorate supported the commune with 50 tons of cement equivalent to 80 million VND.

On behalf of the working delegation, Mr. Pham Hong Son, Party Secretary, Deputy Chief Inspector of the province, hopes that the gift will be a source of motivation to help Quang Phong commune overcome immediate difficulties and gradually escape poverty.
