TYM members get loans of 318.8 billion VND to develop family economy

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of December 26, the Charity Finance Organization (under the Vietnam Women's Union) Nghe An branch (TYM Nghe An) organized a work deployment for 2014.

In 2013, TYM Nghe An issued 318.8 billion VND to eligible members to borrow capital to develop their family economy, with a return rate of 99.89%. Along with lending activities, savings activities are also especially encouraged by TYM. Currently, there are over 30,000 TYM members in the province who have saved over 78.2 billion VND. At the same time, activities such as mutual assistance activities, community activities, and coordination between TYM and Women's Unions at all levels of TYM Nghe An have also achieved high efficiency.

From the results achieved in the past year, TYM Nghe An has set out an action plan for 2014 focusing on expanding the area, attracting more members and improving the quality of other activities.

TYM was established by the Vietnam Women's Union to improve the quality of life of low-income individuals and households, especially the poor and disadvantaged, through financial and non-financial services, creating opportunities for women to participate in economic and social activities; contributing to improving the status of women.

TYM Nghe An started operating in 1997, currently has 30,425 members operating in 826 clusters in 96 communes of 10 districts, cities and towns in the province.
