Removing difficulties for Do Luong Cement Factory Project
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of July 9, Comrade Nguyen Xuan Duong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee had a working session with the leaders of The Vissai Group and the leaders of Do Luong Cement Joint Stock Company on the implementation of the Do Luong Cement Plant Project and some related contents. Also attending the working session were Comrade Huynh Thanh Dien - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and a number of related departments and branches.

According to the report, the Do Luong Cement Plant Project has a capacity of 2,500 tons of Clinker/day, equivalent to 910,000 tons of cement/year. This is a key project in the province's socio-economic development plan that has been approved for investment by the Prime Minister in Official Dispatch No. 1461 dated September 27, 2005. Due to the implementation of the enterprise restructuring project, existing shareholders have reported to the Provincial People's Committee and the Ministry of Construction to request divestment, no longer invest, and transfer the project. Along with the request of TheVissai Cement Group to receive the project, after receiving opinions from ministries and localities, in Official Dispatch No. 2321 dated April 7, 2014, Deputy Prime Minister Vu Van Ninh agreed to allow the transfer of all shares at Do Luong Cement Joint Stock Company by negotiation.
Concluding the working session, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Duong - Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee welcomed the efforts and positivity of The Vissai Group in coordinating with the central ministries and branches in transferring the project of Do Luong Cement Joint Stock Company and the interest in investment cooperation in Nghe An. The Provincial Chairman emphasized: The Do Luong Cement Plant Project is a key project that needs to be re-deployed, completed and put into production. The Vissai Group and related parties urgently complete the transfer and handover procedures in July 2014 and start construction before September 2, 2014; accept the additional planning to increase the capacity of Do Luong Cement Plant in 2 phases; assign the Department of Construction to preside over and coordinate with departments and branches to advise and submit to the Prime Minister for approval and implementation in August 2014. Agree in principle to allow the group to invest in a grinding station with a capacity of 2 million tons of cement/year combined with a wharf system with a ship capacity of 30,000-40,000 tons in the seaport planning area of Nghi Quang or Nghi Thiet communes of Nghi Loc district. Assign the Southeast Economic Zone Project Management Board to preside over and coordinate with relevant departments and branches to advise the Provincial People's Committee to decide.
