Removing difficulties and speeding up progress of key traffic projects
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of December 6, 2013, the Department of Transport held a conference to review the transport work in 2013 and deploy tasks for 2014. Attending the conference was comrade Huynh Thanh Dien - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.
In 2013, despite being heavily affected by natural disasters, the Transport sector has made great efforts, overcome difficulties, and focused on directing and implementing assigned tasks well. Notable among these are state management and development of transport infrastructure, transport management, and traffic safety. Planning, appraisal, and quality management of transport works, training, testing, and issuance of driving licenses, inspection of road motor vehicles, and transport inspection have been actively and effectively implemented.
The volume of investment in construction of transport works in the province is estimated at 3,492 billion VND... Continue to accelerate the progress of a number of key transport works. In particular, a number of items of the Truong Bon relic site restoration project have been completed; the Vinh-Da Nang flight route has been opened, and the Vinh-Vientiane, Vinh-Da Lat flight routes are being prepared....

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Huynh Thanh Dien, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, acknowledged and highly appreciated the results achieved by the Transport sector, and hoped that in 2014, the sector would focus on removing difficulties, clearing land, and attracting and integrating capital sources to speed up progress and put traffic works into use soon. Strengthening state management of construction quality, focusing on promoting state management activities in various fields to contribute to ensuring traffic safety.
Recognizing the results achieved in 2013, the Transport sector had 1 individual awarded a certificate of merit by the Prime Minister, 8 individuals awarded certificates of merit by the Ministry of Transport, 2 collectives awarded the title of excellent labor collective by the Provincial People's Committee and 12 individuals awarded certificates of merit.
