According to tradition, on the evening of July 26 every year, all martyrs' cemeteries in the province are shimmering with candlelight, sacred with flowers, incense and rituals. The "Lighting candles in gratitude" ceremony is always actively responded to by the youth of the whole province. The candles are lit by the sincerity and gratitude of generations towards the generations of fathers and brothers who sacrificed for national independence. And in that sacred moment, young people are more aware of that noble sacrifice, feel more responsible towards the community and society, to train, cultivate, strive... Cultural exchange programs with the themes "Song of the soldier", "Unforgettable song"... are enthusiastically organized during the annual "Repaying gratitude" week.

The Vietnam-Laos Martyrs' Cemetery (Anh Son) is always clean and bright thanks to the care of the team members in the school teams in the town. It has become a routine, 3 sessions a week, under the guidance of the leaders, the children carry out the following tasks: weeding, sweeping, whitewashing and removing stains on the cemetery fence. On holidays and Tet, the children burn incense and offer flowers to commemorate the heroic martyrs who sacrificed their lives. And every Monday, the team sends a group of team members to salute the flag, report on the team's activities in the past school week, and promise to make more efforts in the coming school week... Not only in Anh Son, but 100% of the teams in the province take care of the martyrs' cemetery in their locality.

These days of July, in preparation for the organization of activities to celebrate the 64th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day, at martyrs' cemeteries across the province, team members and youth union members are pulling weeds from graves, cleaning tombstones, whitewashing fences, planting more flower beds...
