Changes in voting regulations for Sao Khue Award 2013
On March 7, the Vietnam Software and Information Technology Services Association - VINASA officially launched the program of voting, ranking and recognizing Sao Khue Award 2013.
This is an annual activity to select, evaluate, and rank the best and most outstanding products and services in the Vietnamese software and information technology (IT) services industry.
The new point of this year's program is the change in the voting regulations. Accordingly, the voting and awarding of titles has been changed to the evaluation and recognition of Sao Khue titles. In addition, the Organizing Committee also does not stipulate the number of awards of 3 titles for each field as before.

Participating software products, solutions and information technology services are evaluated and voted according to 4 groups: typical commercial software products and solutions of Vietnam (considered according to 22 specialized application fields); typical e-commerce solutions; typical information technology services (considered according to 10 service fields); new software products and solutions of Vietnam 2012 - 2013.
The best products and services rated 4 stars and 5 stars will be recognized with the Sao Khue 2013 title and introduced in the Superior Software section on the portal www.danhbaict.vn; at the same time, VINASA will prioritize promotion, introduction, and support for trade promotion throughout 2013.
According to the Program Organizing Committee, due to the intellectual and “invisible” nature of software and information technology products and services, users often find it difficult to identify and choose the right product they need.
Therefore, the evaluation and recognition of Sao Khue title has practical professional significance to both support users in accessing and selecting products and orienting the development of the domestic market, promoting the application of information technology in agencies, economic and social sectors.
In addition, the program helps orient businesses in the industry to develop products suitable for the Vietnamese market; helps build brands for Vietnamese businesses and software industry... contributing to supporting businesses to dominate the domestic market; promoting the use of Vietnamese branded software and information technology products and services according to the Politburo's policy on organizing the campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods".
The program is a continuation of the Sao Khue Award - the most prestigious award in the software and information technology services industry in Vietnam, organized by VINASA since 2003.
Over the past 10 years, nearly 100 individuals and groups with outstanding contributions to the development of the Vietnamese software and information technology industry have been honored and awarded; 338 excellent software products and services have been awarded titles; many of which have been deployed to help modernize and improve labor productivity and competitiveness of Vietnamese enterprises, and improve the operational efficiency of state management agencies, sectors and localities.
The Sao Khue 2013 Award Ceremony will be solemnly held in Hanoi on April 18, to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the program (2003-2013) and the 11th anniversary of VINASA (2002-2013)./.
