This is the main content of the Circular guiding the issuance of practice certificates for physicians and medical examination and treatment facilities, recently signed and issued by Deputy Minister of Health Nguyen Thi Xuyen.
Accordingly, a practitioner who has registered to be the person in charge of technical expertise of a medical examination and treatment facility is registered to workOvertime at other medical examination and treatment facilities in the same province or city, but the total overtime hours do not exceed 200 hours/year according to the provisions of the Labor Code.

This Circular also stipulates that practitioners at State medical examination and treatment facilities are not allowed to register as heads of private hospitals or medical examination and treatment facilities established and operating under the Law on Enterprises and the Law on Cooperatives.
A physician who has registered to practice at a medical examination and treatment facility may not register to be the person in charge of technical expertise of a medical examination and treatment facility in a province other than the one where he or she is practicing.
For foreign doctors practicing in Vietnam, they are required to have certificates of qualifications, time of practice at the hospital, work permit, and certificate of Vietnamese proficiency. In case of not being proficient in Vietnamese, they must have a profile of a Vietnamese interpreter proficient in the field of medical examination and treatment./.
