During the training and competition period for the 2022 World Cup Qualifiers in the UAE, the Vietnam National Team strictly followed the regulations on epidemic prevention and control of the host country. The entire team also maintained RT-PCR testing at a frequency of 3 days/time, from the time they arrived at Dubai Airport (UAE) until they returned home. All tests were negative.
In addition, the team also operates according to the “bubble” principle established by the AFC. With this principle, all team activities are completely closed, only allowed to move from the hotel to the training ground, competition venue and vice versa. In particular, there is no contact with people outside the “bubble”. In addition, the local Organizing Committee also arranged two large buses to serve the team's travel, to keep a safe distance for the players. These two vehicles are used exclusively for the Vietnam National Team and are not shared with other teams.
With this decision of the Ministry of Health, the Vietnamese national team players will have more favorable conditions to practice and compete again soon, ensuring to maintain their physical strength and form towards the third qualifying round of the 2022 World Cup. This is the first time in historyVietnam National Teamparticipating in the round gathering 12 best teams of Asia, competing for 4.5 places to attend the 2022 FIFA World Cup Finals. This achievement has delighted fans and demonstrated the great strides of Vietnamese football in the international arena.
