The world is concerned about the spread of extremist terrorism.
That is the assessment of officials from countries participating in the Anti-Terrorism Summit taking place in Washington, USA.
Speaking at the conference, Jordan's Foreign Minister called on Arab and Muslim countries to join the fight against the self-proclaimed Islamic State (IS). He also stressed that extremism is not a Western problem and that the contribution of Muslims in this fight is necessary.

Jordan's Foreign Minister Nasser Judeh said: "The terrorists have proven that their cruelty, barbarity and brutality have no limits. Each of us can be their target. Let us fight on all fronts to achieve our common goal."
Speaking at the conference, Japanese Foreign Minister Yasuhide Nakayama expressed Japan's gratitude for Jordan's strong solidarity in the IS killing of two Japanese citizens, Kenji Goto and Haruna Yukawa, last month. He also stressed that terrorism is spreading more and more through the recent terrorist attacks in Paris and Copenhagen.
"I would like to express my sincere gratitude to world leaders and our friends who have provided strong solidarity against terrorist acts, and especially to our friends in Jordan. The terrorist acts in Paris and Copenhagen show that violent extremism is spreading," said the Japanese Foreign Minister.
According to French Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve, the ongoing terrorist acts are an unprecedented threat. "This threat has no precedent. Terrorists are everywhere today, they are born and raised among us and one day they will commit terrorist acts. Terrorists are very diverse, many have access to the internet and are exposed to extremist ideas on the internet. Many go abroad and are trained to kill when they return to Europe. Many others have contact with terrorist organizations while they are in prison."
In January 2015, 17 people were killed in a terrorist attack in Paris, carried out by men trained in terrorism. Last week, Danish police killed a gunman in Copenhagen, killing two people and injuring five others.
