20 new Covid-19 cases, Vietnam has 950 patients
As of 6:00 p.m. on August 15, Vietnam had a total of 950 Covid-19 cases, of which 23 patients had died.
On the afternoon of August 15, the Ministry of Health reported 20 new cases of Covid-19, including 4 cases in Quang Nam, 11 cases in Da Nang, 1 in Hai Duong and 4 cases in Ho Chi Minh City who were quarantined immediately after entering the country. Specifically:
- CASE 931 (BN931): Male, 66 years old, Hoi An City, Quang Nam,
- CASE 932 (BN932): Male, 14 years old, Hoi An City, Quang Nam,
- CASE 933 (BN933): Female, 35 years old, Hoi An City, Quang Nam,
BN931-933 were screened and sampled in the locked-down area of Minh An ward, Hoi An city.
- CASE 934 (BN934): Female, 35 years old, Hoi An City, Quang Nam (daughter of BN774, mother of BN842).
- CASE 935 (BN935): Male, 91 years old, Dien Ban, Quang Nam, Patient treated at Da Nang Hospital.
- CASE 936 (BN936): Male, 56 years old, Hai Chau, Da Nang, Patient treated at Da Nang Hospital.

- CASE 942 (BN942): Female, 62 years old, Hai Chau, Da Nang, in contact with BN915.
- CASE 943 (BN943): Male, 31 years old, Lien Chieu, Da Nang, in contact with BN430.
- CASE 944 (BN944): Female, 37 years old, Cam Le, Da Nang.
- CASE 945 (BN945): Male, 19 years old, Hoa Vang, Da Nang, was screened and sampled in the locked-down area of Hoa Tien commune, Hoa Vang district, Da Nang.
- CASE 946 (BN946): Male, 53 years old, was quarantined immediately after entering the country.
- CASE 947 (BN947): Male, 57 years old, was quarantined immediately after entering the country.
- CASE 948 (BN948): Male, 22 years old, was quarantined immediately after entering the country.
- CASE 949 (BN949): Male, 42 years old, was quarantined immediately after entering the country.
Patients 946-949 from Guam Island (USA) on flight OAE423 to Tan Son Nhat airport on August 4, 2020, were quarantined immediately after entering the country at Area A - Cu Chi Field Hospital.
- CASE 950 (BN950): Male, 15 years old, Hai Duong city, in contact with BN906.
As of 6:00 p.m. on August 15, Vietnam had a total of 950 Covid-19 cases, of which the number of new cases related to Da Nang from July 25 to now is 477.
Total number of close contacts and people entering from epidemic areas being monitored for health (quarantined): 115,858, of which:
- Concentrated isolation at hospital: 4,182
- Centralized quarantine at other facilities: 25,952
- Isolation at home, place of residence: 85,724
According to the report of the Treatment Subcommittee, National Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control:
- Number of cases testing negative for SARS-CoV-2 for the first time: 50 cases.
- Number of cases testing negative for SARS-CoV-2 twice or more: 91 cases.
- Number of deaths: 23 cases.
- Number of cured cases: 437 cases./.
