Musician Pham Duy

Musician Pham Duy is 93 years old this year. He has just gone through a serious illness and his health is getting worse. His biggest wish right now is to be licensed to distribute many of his songs. He once shared: "My songs include many songs praising love for the homeland, praising love for people and Zen songs that help the listener's soul to be peaceful and happy. I hope that many of my songs will reach domestic audiences, not just the songs that are too familiar."

That is why Pham Duy sent an application to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism for a license. On November 2, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Vuong Duy Bien visited and handed over the Ministry's reply letter about the Ministry's ongoing appraisal to license the works of musician Pham Duy. After 20 days of waiting, this talented musician's wish was fulfilled.

According to a representative of the Department of Performing Arts, many songs by musician Pham Duy are still being considered for licensing.
