With a serious spirit in appraising the NTM criteria in communes, the Provincial NTM Appraisal Council agreed to vote for 26 communes in 11 districts and towns to meet NTM standards.
26 communes were voted to reach the NTM finish line this morning, including: Quynh Hong, Quynh My, Quynh Van, Quynh Chau, An Hoa (Quynh Luu); Dien Kim, Dien Thang (Dien Chau); Que Son (Que Phong); Thach Son, Long Son, Khai Son (Anh Son); Hung Nhan, Hung Xuan (Hung Nguyen); Nghia Binh, Nghia Phuc (Tan Ky); Nghi Cong Bac, Nghi Van, Nghi Thach (Nghi Loc); Da Son, Quang Son, My Son (Do Luong); Thanh Phong, Thanh My, Thanh Thinh (Thanh Chuong); Xa Luong (Tuong Duong); Quynh Vinh (Hoang Mai town).
Of which, 19 communes registered to meet the standards in 2019, 3 communes registered to meet the standards in 2018 and 4 communes did not register to meet the standards in 2019.

According to the assessment of the Provincial New Rural Area Coordination Office, all 26 communes have no outstanding debts in basic construction in implementing the National Target Program on New Rural Area Construction.
At the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Nghia Hieu acknowledged the efforts of localities in implementing the National Target Program on New Rural Construction.
However, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested that communes continue to implement the criteria of increasing people's income; strengthen the management and maintenance of the road system, and have plans to maintain and repair damaged commune and inter-commune roads. At the same time, better implement environmental protection work; apply new scientific and technological advances to agricultural production; and strengthen production linkages between enterprises and farmers.

Thus, in 2019, the Provincial New Rural Area Appraisal Council voted to approve 1 district and 47 communes to meet the New Rural Area standards, exceeding the 2019 plan target (the plan was 39 communes).
Localities need to consider building new rural areas as a regular, continuous task with no stopping point; focus on prioritizing economic development to improve people's material and spiritual life, and limit over-mobilization of people.
