(Baonghean) -Carrying out the tasks assigned by the Government, in the dry season of 2011 - 2012, the Military Region 4 Command and the Special Working Group of 6 provinces in the Military Region directed the Military Commands of 6 provinces to develop plans, consolidate the organization of forces, means, weapons and equipment, and conduct surveys of the area to search for the remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts who died in Laos.
Although the search process encountered many difficulties due to harsh weather conditions, complex search areas, mainly in the mountains and forests, and increasingly scarce information about martyrs' remains, under the close direction of the Military Region Command and provincial leaders, with the enthusiastic coordination and assistance of the people of Lao ethnic groups, and especially with information about graves provided by veterans who had directly participated in fighting on the Lao battlefield, officers and soldiers of the 6 collection teams of the Military Region searched for and brought back to the country 390 martyrs' remains, of which 45 martyrs' remains had names and hometowns; Nghe An province alone had 224 sets.
