One more person from Da Nang, one person from Quang Ngai infected with nCoV
On the afternoon of July 26, the Ministry of Health recorded two cases of nCoV infection in the community, a 17-year-old boy in Quang Ngai and a 71-year-old woman in Da Nang.
"Patient 419", male, 17 years old, in Quang Phu ward, Quang Ngai city. On July 14, this person went to Da Nang Orthopedic and Rehabilitation Hospital to take care of his brother who was being treated there. On July 17, this person returned to Quang Ngai by bus, on the bus there were some people from Da Nang C Hospital to Quang Ngai.

On July 20, he went from Quang Ngai to Da Nang Orthopedic and Rehabilitation Hospital, showing signs of fever. On July 22, he took a train from Da Nang to Quang Ngai, had fever, mild cough, and difficulty breathing, and went to Quang Ngai General Hospital for examination. On July 24, the patient had samples taken by the Quang Ngai Center for Disease Control and sent to the Pasteur Institute in Nha Trang for testing, and the results on July 26 were positive for nCoV.
"Patient 420", female, 71 years old, in Hoa Cuong Nam ward, Hai Chau district, Da Nang city. On July 12, she had fever and chest pain, and was admitted to Da Nang C Hospital on July 22. On July 25, Da Nang C Hospital took samples and sent them to the Da Nang Center for Disease Control for testing. The test results on July 26 were positive for nCoV.
The patient is currently isolated and treated at Da Nang C Hospital.
As of this afternoon, Vietnam has recorded 420 cases of nCoV infection, of which 365 have recovered. Currently, 55 patients are being treated, of which 5 tested negative once, 3 tested negative twice. There are 47 positive cases.
More than 11,000 people who had close contact with or entered the country from epidemic areas were quarantined. Of these, 220 people were quarantined at hospitals, more than 10,000 at centralized facilities, and the rest at home or at their place of residence.
The world has recorded about 650,000 deaths from more than 16 million infections in 213 countries. The US and Brazil are the two countries with the highest number of cases and deaths in the world. In Southeast Asia, Indonesia recorded the highest number of cases and deaths.
Vietnam has not recorded any deaths due to nCoV.
