These are: "the friendliness and hospitality of service establishments"; "no more stalking" and "safe and orderly", "rich and professional" the most active content compared to previous festival occasions and other tourist destinations in the country.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Ha, a tourist from Hanoi, said that coming to Sa Pa during this year's festival season, he felt like he saw a different Sa Pa, in addition to the upgraded tourism infrastructure, the service points were more professional. He and his group were also very satisfied because coming to Sa Pa this time, they did not see people clinging to and soliciting tourists like in previous years.
"I think that if Sa Pa maintains this cultural tradition in the coming years, it will attract more tourists. This is also an effort by Lao Cai that other tourist destinations in the country should learn from," said Mr. Ha.
According to statistics from the authorities, from October 31 to November 2, about 40,000 tourists came to Lao Cai for tourism and vacation, including over 30,000 tourists who came to Sa Pa to participate in the 110th Anniversary of Sa Pa Tourism, bringing the total number of tourists to Lao Cai as of early November to about one million, two months ahead of schedule.
According to news from the Sa Pa Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, by the end of the third quarter, Lao Cai had welcomed nearly 960,000 visitors, an increase of 13.9% over the same period in 2012. Total tourism revenue reached over VND1,927 billion (international visitor revenue reached VND815.8 billion, domestic visitor revenue reached over VND1,111 billion).
In a short period of time, many cultural events took place at the same time, such as "Street Festival", Art Programs; sports competitions were organized for the first time such as mountain bike racing; photo exhibition; opening of cultural markets and especially the groundbreaking of the first cable car project in the northern mountainous provinces to the top of Fansipan ... but thanks to careful, scientific and methodical preparation, the activities took place very smoothly. Especially, the reception points and tourist service establishments did not increase prices; the situation of clinging to customers no longer existed./.
