According to VTC News, Mr. Alexandre Polking has submitted his application for the position of head coach of the Vietnam National Team. In contrast, the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) has shown special interest in the Brazilian-German coach.
The leaders of the Vietnam Football Federation and the professional department carefully researched this candidate through various information channels. Mr. Polking has worked in Vietnam and Thailand and has a good understanding of Southeast Asian football.
This strategist's practical working ability has been proven through his former teams. Mr. Polking is considered by many former students and colleagues to have good ability, suitable for the actual situation of Vietnamese football.

Responding to VTC News, a member of Ho Chi Minh City Club said: "I think coach Polking is a reasonable choice for Vietnamese football at this time. Hopefully if selected, he will adapt to the Vietnam National Team."
Coach Alexandre Polking will leave the Thai National Team at the end of 2023. After a period of success and domination of Southeast Asian football, the Thai National Team began to decline and did not achieve good results at the continental level. After losing to the Chinese National Team, the Football Association of Thailand (FAT) decided to fire Mr. Alexandre Polking.
