More lychee, mango, star apple exported to US market

According to the Plant Protection Department, in 2015, Vietnam will have more lychee, mango and star apple exported to the US market.

In addition, more types of fresh fruit from Vietnam will be exported to other markets. In 2014, Vietnam exported over 3,662 tons of fresh fruit to demanding markets, an increase of 40% compared to 2013.

Dr. Nguyen Huu Dat, director of the Post-Import Plant Quarantine Center 2 (Plant Protection Department), said that fruit exports to demanding markets are on an upward trend.

All export shipments since the beginning of the year have been of good quality and have had no pest problems.
