(Baonghean.vn) - Within the framework of the activity "Following the footsteps of President Kaysone Phomvihane" in Vietnam (from December 10 to 17, 2015), on the morning of December 16, the Lao People's Delegation of 45 members led by Comrade Vilayvong Butdakham, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Youth Union, Vice President of the Central Committee of the Laos - Vietnam Friendship Association, participated in a number of meaningful activities in Nghe An.
Accompanying the delegation was comrade Ta Minh Chau - Former Deputy Head of the Party Central Committee's Foreign Affairs Committee, Former Vietnamese Ambassador to Laos, Vice President of the Vietnam - Laos Friendship Association.
The journey "Following the footsteps of President Kaysone Phomvihane" is an activity organized by the Vietnam - Laos Friendship Association to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the National Day of the Lao People's Democratic Republic (December 2, 1975 - December 2, 2015) and the 95th anniversary of the birth of Comrade Kaysone Phomvihane - Former Chairman of the Central Executive Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, Former President of the Lao People's Democratic Republic (December 13, 1920 - December 13, 2015).
This activity aims to help Lao delegates gain a deeper understanding of President Kaysone Phomvihane's work in Vietnam and the close friendship and solidarity between the Vietnamese and Lao peoples; at the same time, consolidate and enhance the special friendship, solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the two peoples.
