Photojournalism contest "Vietnam integration and development"
With the above theme, the contest was launched by the Press Photo Club - Vietnam Journalists Association on the morning of June 27 in Hanoi. The artistic and professional sponsors are the Vietnam Journalists Association and the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists, with sponsorship from Quang Ba Joint Stock Company.
The content of the photos in the contest aims to reflect all aspects of life, work and production of Vietnamese people across the country, in the fields of politics, economics, culture and society; discover good examples, typical of Vietnamese people overcoming difficulties, striving to contribute much to the development and integration of the country, foreign organizations and individuals contributing to the integration and development of Vietnam.
At the launching ceremony, Mr. Bui Dinh Khoi, Chairman of the Press Photo Club - Vietnam Journalists Association said: Contestants include Vietnamese citizens or foreigners living in Vietnam.
Photos submitted to the contest include single photos, photo reports, and photo groups (reports and photo groups of no more than 7 photos) with clear captions about the event, characters, time, location of the event or the character described.
Photos were taken in 2008 - 2009, size 13x18. Deadline for sending photos to the contest organizers is before September 30, 2009 at the address of the Vietnam Journalists Association Cultural House (59 Ly Thai To - Hanoi).
The closing ceremony, award ceremony and exhibition opening will be held at the end of November 2009.
Mr. Bui Dinh Khoi also said: The Organizing Committee will award 1 A prize worth 10 million VND; 2 B prizes worth 7 million VND each; 3 C prizes worth 5 million VND each and 10 consolation prizes. The authors will be paid royalties for the photos exhibited.
