The Ministry of Education and Training has just issued guidelines on direct admission and priority admission to universities and colleges in 2016.

Accordingly, in addition to the list of industriesdirect recruitmentAs prescribed by the Ministry of Education and Training, for candidates who win prizes in the national excellent student exam, schools can add additional majors and related majors for each subject in the national excellent student exam in accordance with the entrance requirements of the school's training majors.

If they do not continue to directly enroll in certain majors that are the same or similar to the national gifted student exam subjects, schools must report to the Ministry and publicly announce on the school's website and other mass media at least 3 years before applying.

For candidates who win prizes in the National Science and Technology Competition, the principals of universities and colleges will consider direct admission to the major that matches the results of the project or topic in which the candidate won the prize.

Reserve direct admission and priority admission: Candidates who win prizes in the national gifted student selection exam or national science and technology competition, if they have not graduated from high school, will be reserved to enjoy direct admission (or priority admission) after graduating from high school according to the regulations of the schools in the year the candidates win the prize.

Direct admission and priority admission quotas: Schools determine direct admission and priority admission quotas for each major or for all majors, ensuring that the total quota is not lower than the number of candidates directly admitted and given priority admission to the school in 2015.

The Ministry also noted that the direct admission quota for new majors announced by the school must not exceed 25% of the total number of candidates admitted directly in 2016.

Organize direct admission and priority admission according to the principle: Admission to the right major first, then admission to the nearby major. Schools publicly announce the criteria, process of considering and ranking the direct admission and priority admission majors of the school on the school's electronic information page, the Ministry of Education and Training's entrance exam information page and on the mass media;

Candidates eligible for direct admission must submit their application to the Department of Education and Training before May 20. Candidates can apply for direct admission to a maximum of 2 schools. After receiving the school's announcement, candidates eligible for direct admission must submit the original copies of their certificates to the school they wish to enroll in before August 10. After this deadline, candidates who do not submit the required documents will be considered to have refused admission.

Candidates who are in the priority admission category must submit an application to take the national high school exam. After receiving the exam results, submit an application to apply for priority admission to universities and colleges according to the Ministry's admission schedule.

Before August 5, schools will send direct admission results to the Departments of Education and Training to notify candidates. Also before this time, schools will organize the admission of candidates eligible for direct admission and send the direct admission results to the Departments of Education and Training to notify candidates.
