According to the supplementary instructions for the 2014 high school graduation exam recently issued by the Ministry of Education and Training, for the invigilation of foreign language exams, the examination councils must have separate instructions (time to do the test, collect the papers) for each part of the exam, in order: candidates do the multiple choice part first, collect the multiple choice part before doing the written part.
Time to collect multiple choice test is 10 minutes (not included in test time).
The multiple-choice test is graded according to the regulations for grading multiple-choice tests. The written test is graded according to the regulations for grading essay tests. The Ministry notes that the processing of the independent grading results is based on the ratio of the written test score to the total score, on a 10-point scale to determine the corresponding scores specified in the current High School Graduation Exam Regulations.
Regarding the processing of re-examination scores, when the re-examination score differs from the previous score by 10% or more of the written test score, the re-examination score is the new score of the written test.
In the additional instructions, the Ministry also noted that there should not be a separate examination council for continuing education, but that continuing education and high school education should be combined in the same examination council; the preparation of the candidate list and the arrangement of candidates by examination room are carried out according to the provisions of the current High School Graduation Examination Regulations.
