Quy Hop Town: Towards becoming a typical mountainous town
(Baonghean) - During the 2010 - 2015 term, the Party Committee and people of Quy Hop Town have utilized the potential and advantages of the area, promoted the strength of the political system, and the great solidarity of the people to build a stable and developed town. The annual economic growth rate reached 17.5%, the average income per capita reached 28.7 million VND/year; the economic structure shifted in the right direction, the material and spiritual life of the people was increasingly improved.
The town Party Committee has 25 Party cells with 637 Party members; as the economic center of Quy Hop district, all types of services and trade have developed strongly. Up to now, there are 747 business households in the area; the transportation sector has 189 cars of all kinds, of which 102 are for freight transport and 87 are for passenger transport, an increase of 1.5 times compared to 2010, contributing to creating jobs for hundreds of workers. Accordingly, the value of trade and services by 2015 is estimated to reach 322 billion VND, an increase of 251% compared to 2010.
There are currently 104 enterprises operating mainly in the fields of stone mining, processing, construction and trade... contributing to the stable development of the town's economy. The total production value of the industrial and handicraft sector in 2015 is estimated at 240 billion VND, with an average growth rate of 16.5% per year. The implementation of the Project and Resolution "Increasing productivity of crops in the agricultural production sector" achieved the set plan, increasing 0.5 times compared to 2010. Livestock models were maintained stably, some new models brought high economic efficiency, the number of livestock and poultry increased by 2-5% compared to 2010.

Over the past 5 years, in addition to the projects invested and managed by the district, the projects invested by the town have been taken care of, such as: investing in the construction and completion of the town cultural house with over 200 seats that meets standards; upgrading internal traffic routes, renovating and repairing schools and medical stations; building overnight parking lots; renovating and upgrading the old stadium to become a town sports ground; installing a new broadcasting system to serve propaganda work; renovating, planning and promulgating regulations on the management of the town's people's cemetery to ensure long-term...
With a total investment of nearly 8 billion VND. With the motto of the State and the people working together, up to now, the implementation of Resolution No. 04 of the Party Committee on "Construction and upgrading of roads and drainage ditches within the block, period 2010 - 2015" has built 10,779m of new concrete roads and 3,900m of drainage ditches, up to now the concrete roads have been 95% closed, basically completing the resolution. Many blocks have also invested in building new halls, building village gates, installing internal lighting systems... contributing to changing the appearance, building the town to achieve the title of civilized urban area. Land management in the area is strictly implemented. The work of granting Land Use Right Certificates to people has been given attention, up to now 98% of Land Use Right Certificates have been granted to households in the area in accordance with regulations.
There have been many changes in the cultural and social fields. Up to now, 4/4 schools have met national standards, and primary schools have been recognized as meeting level 2 standards. From 2010 to 2014, schools have always achieved the title of advanced and excellent advanced schools, and the town has maintained the title of excellent advanced unit in the Education and Training sector. The movement "All people unite to build a cultural life" has increasingly gone into depth, raising people's awareness of building a civilized urban lifestyle. Up to now, 18/20 blocks have been recognized as cultural titles, 84.5% of families have been recognized as cultural families; 20/20 blocks have halls and purchase basic cultural facilities to ensure. Primary health care for the people is increasingly being paid attention to. Regarding hunger eradication and poverty reduction, we have coordinated with the Policy Bank to create conditions for poor households to borrow capital for economic development... The poverty rate by 2014 was only 4.67%, a decrease of 3.11% compared to 2010. It is expected that by 2015 the poverty rate will decrease to 3%.
Promoting the achievements, in the 2015 - 2020 term, the Town Party Committee set the goal: Striving for development in all aspects, high economic growth rate, improving the material and spiritual life of the people... worthy of being the economic and political center of Quy Hop district, moving towards becoming a typical town in the mountainous districts of the province.
